Dr. Craig’s research is focused on the intersection of school-based physical activity promotion and implementation science. He has worked closely with schools and districts across the United States to establish active school environments through the implementation of evidence-based practices. He has expertise in studying factors that influence schools’ readiness to provide a range of opportunities (i.e., physical education, recess, classroom-based approaches) that increase physical activity levels among students. His current work is focused on the promotion of a whole-of-school approach to physical activity and developing strategies to help schools improve the adoption and implementation of physical activity opportunities throughout the school day.
